Bring-Your-Own-License (BYOL) on AWS Made Easier – AWS Online Tech Talks
Customers have been running Microsoft workloads on AWS for over a decade. As customers migrate their on-premises Microsoft workloads to AWS they get the flexibility to choose from a variety of available licensing options including buying licenses from AWS with a pay-as-you-go model or bringing their own licenses. With the new, simplified, Bring-Your-Own-License (BYOL) experience, customers can easily bring and manage their existing licenses for Microsoft Windows Server and SQL Server to AWS. Join this tech talk to learn how to use the new BYOL experience with AWS License Manager and Amazon EC2 Dedicated Hosts for getting the flexibility and cost effectiveness of using your own licenses. We will demonstrate the use cases of bringing eligible Windows Server licenses to AWS, allocating and releasing EC2 Dedicated Hosts automatically, and using auto scaling group to launch Windows Server BYOL instances.
